Will I Need Chiropractic Care Forever?

No. At Highland Spine and Sport, our goal is to get you back to doing what you love as efficiently as possible. After a thorough assessment—including your history, a physical exam, and sometimes imaging—we’ll determine if chiropractic care is right for you. If it is, we’ll recommend a specific treatment plan with a clear end point. If not, we’ll guide you to the appropriate care or refer you to another specialist. Each case is unique, and we tailor our approach to fit your needs.

How many visits will I need?

The number of visits required varies depending on your specific condition and treatment goals. However, we strive to get patients out of our office and back doing what they love within 4-8 visits. After your initial assessment, we will discuss a treatment plan and estimated number of visits needed to achieve the best results.

Why Don’t You Bill Insurance Directly at Highland Spine and Sport?

At Highland Spine and Sport we are an Out of Network Provider, we work with all forms of insurance but do not bill insurance companies directly. Instead, we require payment at the time of service and can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Your insurance company will then send you a check for covered services based on your plan.

Unfortunately, insurance companies often do not align with modern care practices, which means they may not cover all the services our doctor recommends. This doesn’t mean those services aren’t necessary. By using an out-of-network provider like us, you receive a comprehensive care plan tailored to your specific needs, without the constraints of insurance limitations. We’re happy to assist you with the reimbursement process and answer any additional questions.

What are self-management strategies, and how will they help me?

Self-management strategies are techniques and exercises we teach you to help manage and prevent pain on your own. These may include stretches, strengthening exercises, posture corrections, and lifestyle changes. By incorporating these strategies, you can support your recovery and reduce the risk of future issues.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

Wear comfortable, athletic clothing that allows for easy movement. Arrive a few minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. If you have recent medical records or imaging, please bring them with you to assist in your evaluation.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to another patient and helps us maintain an efficient schedule.

If a patient cancels within 24 hours they may be subject to a late cancellation fee of 50% the appointment cost. We understand that sometimes schedules change unexpectedly. However, if a patient misses an appointment without prior notice, the full amount of the visit will be charged. This policy helps ensure we can serve all patients efficiently and maintain availability for those committed to their health journey.

How do I contact you for more information or to schedule an appointment?

You can contact us by phone, email, or through our website's online booking system. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out, and we will be happy to help.

Do You Treat Patients Who Have Been in Motor Vehicle Accidents/ Personal Injury  (MVAs)?

Yes, we treat patients who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents (MVAs). At Highland Spine and Sport, we understand that injuries from accidents can vary widely and often require a tailored approach to care.

If you’ve been in an MVA, please contact us to schedule an appointment and let us know that your injury is related to an accident. We may need to collect additional information from you to correctly and most effectively process your appointment. While we work with all forms of insurance, we require payment at the time of service and provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. We're here to help guide you through this process and answer any questions you may have.
